Meet the Composer.
J. R. Thomas is a composer and pianist who has written for a variety of genres and mediums including choral, chamber, film, musical theatre, art song, electronic, and more.
In addition to composing, he also performs as an experienced collaborative pianist and chamber musician. From professional pit orchestras to playing continuo in early music organizations, he has training in an array of backgrounds— including accompanying Ballet, Jazz, and Modern Dance classes.
Recordings.
You can access performances and score recordings here— from live performances to electronic media and soundtracks. The two pieces featured to the right are “Goat Dance ‘When the birch tree’” and “Between the Empty Spaces”. Some recordings or albums may be purchased through the website’s store, or may be available on streaming services such as Spotify or iTunes in the future.
