Entangling Alliances

Entangling Alliances is musical comedy about North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), where we follow Jack, a tenured American intern, through his journey with a Russian spy. Throughout their campy, political misalignment and budding romance, the story also touches on themes of empathy and bridging past political barriers to stand as one.

Dance

"Baltering” is a set of pieces written for the ballet pianist that introduce contemporary languages and attitudes of music into the ballet studio. The music challenges dancers' understanding of post-tonality, non-functional harmony, non-lyrical settings of material, metric dissonance, phrase manipulation, and other contemporary methods/attitudes.

This set of recordings was made to accompany the thesis and set of sheet music Baltering: music for the contemporary ballet class which is for the ballet pianist to play from for the technique class. You can access the full thesis here.

This album is suitable for the instructor's use in absence of live music in the studio, or to serve as referential material for the pianist.

You can listen to “Baltering” on Bandcamp here.
